Marine Studies

Based on the Marine Studies and Aquaculture CEC course. Students develop skills to design, produce and evaluate marine and water-related environments. They study water safety, general first aid and the maintenance of equipment. Students learn about the ethical and sustainable use, management, and protection of the marine environment. They also investigate and explore marine organisms and the place they hold in a range of ecosystems. Marine Studies will be run as an Extension Stage 5 Science course that will develop students' skills that will lead them into in their Stage 6 studies in Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science, and Investigating Science.
