VET
Business Services
VET Business Services aims to equip students with interpersonal and technical skills which are essential when working in the 21st Century office environment. Students develop skills and knowledge relating to workplace policies and procedures that demonstrate safe and sustainable work practices as required by Australian legislation (e.g. WHS, Privacy Act), the utilisation of hardware and software (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel), and the development of principles relating to effective teamwork and communication in the workplace. In addition, students will complete 70 hours of work placement across the two years, allowing students to gain first-hand experience of working in an office environment. By successfully completing the VET Business Services course, students will obtain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business which will assist students in finding employment opportunities within a variety of business sectors including human resources, legal services and marketing.
Construction
VET Construction provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and the Certificate II in Construction Pathways that is achieved in this course allows for inclusion of skills suited to trades such as joinery and shop-fitting as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction. The Certificate II achieved is designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
Entertainment
CUA30420 Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services is a VET Course that offers the student the opportunity to obtain an ATAR and a full Certificate III Qualification, allowing you the chance to work in the entertainment industry. Students have the opportunity to learn about Audio, Lighting, Vision (think Vivid), Staging, Customer Service, WHS and Working in the Creative Arts Industry. Hospitality
VET Hospitality is a vocational subject where students develop practical skills to use in the Hospitality Industry post school. On successful completion students will receive a dual accreditation :-A nationally recognised Certificate II in Hospitality - Food and Beverage as well as the opportunity to achieve an ATAR for their HSC. It is a practical course that includes preparing and serving Cafe style foods and beverages. Students will have opportunities to complete 70 hours of work placement, complete Barista Training and RSA courses as well industry based excursions and experiences.
